Off to a Deam start! Boston RFC earn 63-10 win over University of Derby

BOSTON BOSTON Firsts maintained their 100 per cent record in the Midlands 5 division with an 11-try, 63-10 victory over University of Derby, writes John Fletcher.
After two weeks of postponements, the Blue and Whites unleashed their pent-up aggression on the strugglers, remaining top of the division.
Boston took the lead after just one minute, man-of-the-match Joe Deamer scoring the first of his three tries as he drove over the line.
Derby pulled three points back from a penalty and Boston spent 10 minutes looking untidy, before Tom Brooks extended their lead with a try.
Darryn Barratt, following a scrum against the head, went over the try line for Boston, and hooker Billy Wilson touched down.
Straight from the restart, a move involving Barratt and Perry Cumber resulted in a score for Travis Cross, which Brooks converted.
Boston went in at half time leading 32-3 after Cumber added a try.
The second half started the way the first half ended, with a try from Deamer.
Brooks again converted.
Deamer was now on a roll, and completed his hat-trick as he barged his way through the tiring Derby defence.
Brooks again kicked between the posts.
With the match safely secured, coach Willem Jonker introduced replacement Steve Loveley, who made his mark by scoring.
Further replacements and a change around of positions took Cumber from the wing to scrum half, and Marc Miles from scrum half to inside centre.
Wilson switched to the flank, Alan Phoenix moved to hooker and Dave Loveley to the wing.
Derby took their chance, with the changes, to dive on a loose ball and score a try which they also converted.
Boston reacted immediately, a well-timed pass from Miles to Brooks gave him a try which he converted himself.
With almost the last play of the game, Michael Baldwin turned on the style to score with a swan dive.
