BOSTON Rugby Club will begin life back in the Midlands 4 with a clash against old foes Keyworth.
The Blue and Whites finished last season as Midlands 5 champions.
In the final standings they were 10 points ahead of second-placed Keyworth, who were also promoted.
Boston will travel to face their opponents as the curtain is raised on the season on September 8.
However, they begin on minus 12 points.
That is because opponents Ollerton refused to play the final quarter of their contest against Boston last season after an on-pitch altercation.
However, coach Willem Jonker remains upbeat.
He said: “The promoted teams last season - Southwell and East Retford - lost one and two matches.
“Our deduction is like three losses - so that just means we can’t slip up.”
Boston’s Alex Kemp will also miss the first five matches after admitting a charge of striking an opponent unlawfully.
Boston ended up 10 points clear of Keyworth with, effectively, a game in hand as the Ollerton clash was never completed.
