Boston Rugby Club’s hopes of securing their second successive promotion were put on ice.
On Saturday, Willem Jonker’s side were due to travel to third-placed Long Eaton, knowing that victory would mean a definite top-two finish and a place in Midlands 3 next season.
However, the snowfall and frozen ground meant the match was postponed, leaving the Blue and Whites to play the waiting game.
Boston are without a fixture this week due to the Midlands 4 East (North) Easter break.
However, the unbeaten Blue and Whites - who currently sit nine points clear at the top of the table - will now have the chance to secure promotion on their own turf.
They will host second-placed Worksop at the Boardsides on April 13 (KO 2.30pm).
After going 19 contests without defeat this season, coach Jonker (pictured) is now desperate to see out the campaign without defeat in the league.
He told The Standard: “We’ve come this far so we want to go all the way.”
Victory will secure Jonker his second promotion in as many seasons at the Princess Royal Sports Arena.
Boston will also face Keyworth on April 20.
The Long Eaton clash is yet to be re-arranged.
