The third round contests pitted two sides - both with unbeaten records in their respective divisions - against one another.

But on this occasion it was Willem Jonker’s men who suffered a rare defeat to Midlands 4 East (South) side the Saints.

The Blue and Whites will now be turning their attention back to the Midlands 4 East (North) Division on Saturday.

They host Chesterfield Panthers, who currently lie third from bottom, at the Boardsides (2.15pm).

Boston’s under 15s suffered a27-10n defeat to Wisbech, with Jack Power getting both his side’s tries.

The rugby club’s mini section is holding free open days for primary school-aged children this Sunday and December 2.
