Tom’s penalties not enough to save Boston

BOSTON 1ST XV 6

NOTTINGHAMIANS 1ST XV 11

by John Fletcher

AFTER an enforced lay off due to the weather Boston travelled to Nottingham to resume league duties.

In one of the few fixtures that survived the elements Boston lost narrowly to the home side.

Two penalties by fly half Tom Brooke kept Boston in the contest against a side in the top section of the league.

Boston entertain local rivals Skegness next week at home in a match they will be very keen to win. With Skegness lying one place above the blue and whites in the league, this is an opportunity to secure not only an important local derby win, but also gain points to pull them away from the bottom of the table.

Kick off 2.30pm.
