Lincolnshire Sport is hosting its first Club and Coaches’ Conference next month.

The event, which is organised with an aim to support local clubs and coaches, will see experts from across the East Midlands come together to give informative and interactive workshops in one place.

Lincolnshire Sport is now taking bookings for the Conference which will take place on Saturday, September 6 (10am-3pm) at Bishop Grosseteste University.

Coaches will have a choice of three workshops and club members will be able to choose from four.

The workshops include: Practise and Planning of Strength Training for Young Athletes, Performing Under Pressure Toolkit, Marketing and Communications for Clubs, Motivating Your Performers & Creating a Winning Environment, Supporting and Recruiting Volunteers, Performance Analysis.

Tom Armstrong, Workforce Manager at Lincolnshire Sport, said: “This is the first time we have brought coaching experts into Lincolnshire so it promises to be a great day for all attendees.

“I would encourage all clubs and coaches who feel they need support on any of the included workshops to come along and seek advice from our carefully chosen experts.

“The day will provide a chance to ask questions, seek advice and learn new and upcoming trends.”

The cost for the event is £20 per person, with an early bird booking.

Bookings after August 17 will cost £25.

The price includes lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

A special club package is also available for those that would like to bring along at least three people, with a collective price of £45.

Booking closes on Wednesday, August 27.
