TWO sports centres and a rowing club in Boston have been awarded a total of £234,649 in Olympic legacy funding through the Inspired Facilities Fund.
Boston College secured £99,999 for a new dance studio, gym and changing rooms at the Peter Paine Sports Centre.
Boston Borough Council was given £86,000 to refurbish the Geoff Moulder Leisure Centre .
Boston Rowing Club secured £48,650 to upgrade the club’s facilities.
Janet Hemmant, Boston College’s vice principal of corporate services, said: “We are delighted that, with help from the Sport England grant, we are able to renew the facilities for the benefit of Boston College learners and the community.”
The Inspired Facilities Fund makes it easier for local community groups to improve and refurbish sports clubs or transform non-sporting venues into modern grassroots sport facilities.
