B Team buzzing in Billinghay victory

Boston Tennis Club teams have been in Winter League action.

The A team - Alex Gordon, Zac McDonnell-Woods, Ryan Frankish and David Cheer - lost 5-3 to Woodhall.

Boston B - Mike Sweeney, Richard Tupper, Jeremy George-Jones and Courtney George-Jones - dropped just one set to win at Billinghay.

In the Slazenger Lincolnshire Veteran’s League, Boston’s team of Ray Frankish, Chris Cook, James Newton and Richard Hart earned their second win of the campaign, beating Bourne 7-1.

The Ladies’ Veterans lost 5-3 at St James, Grimsby.

Representing Boston were Rachel Atkinson, Helen Cook, Rachel Gedney and Joan Beale.

Several Boston Tennis Club juniors have been playing in tournaments further afield.

Joe Woolley and Dominic Beesley lost out in the main draw of the Aegon British Tour in Hull.

Matthew Gedney reached the quarter-finals of the On Line Riverside Junior Open at the Bedford and Lucas East lost out in the quarter-finals of the under 12 Cambridge LTC Winter Open.
