Timby coaching on coastal crease

BOSTON Cricket Club’s former captain and coach has joined Skegness CC as their first team coach.

Paul Timby, who has already started at the seasiders, will continue to coach Boston’s Under 13s and 15s, run academy sessions and play Sundays until the end of the season.

Boston’s current captain Tom Baxter said: “He will be missed on Saturday afternoons, but we all wish him the best at Skegness. They have a great chance of winning the title this year and that is something I know Paul will want to do.

“I am pleased he wants to still be part of the club. Of course I am disappointed that he is no longer available for our Saturday cricket, but these things happen in sport and it is important that we forget what has happened and concentrate on things that are going to happen in the future.”
