CAPTAIN Tom Baxter says Boston Cricket Club’s eight-wicket defeat to Skegness was a ‘bad day at the office’.

The Firsts were bowled out for just 68 runs in a rain-affected match on the coast on Saturday.

“We had a bad day at the office on Saturday, and unfortunately we can’t afford any bad days when we are in this situation,” said Baxter, as the club remain bottom of the Lincs ECB Premier.

“Skegness bowled well and put us under pressure.

“Skegness are in with a shout of winning the league title and have some very good individual cricketers.

“They may be reliant on a handful of players, but if those handful perform like they have done, then they’ll have a good year.”
