Boston Cricket Club’s First XI will be competing in the Lincs ECB Premier again next season.

Saturday’s contest against basement side Nettleham was abandoned due to the heavy rainfall on Saturday.

However, the eight points both sides picked up from the contest was enough to secure the Mayflower men’s place in the county’s top flight, following their promotion last year.

Boston sit ninth in the 12-team league, 46 points clear of second-bottom Grimsby Town with two games left to play.

Liam Sparke scored 69 runs for Boston against Nettleham before the contest was stopped.
