Three Boston-based under 11 cricketers were in action at the Lincolnshire County Regional Festival.

Ben Anthony and Karl Loeffler, who play for Boston, were joined by Frithville’s William Wright, who plays for Woodhall Spa, as they competed against the Northern Region for Lincolnshire South Region in the 30 over match.

Karl took wickets, Ben fielded excellently and William kept wicket very well.

William top scored for Lincolnshire a 12 not out, when rain stopped play during the innings at 47-6.

The match was drawn.

Sadly, owing to heavy rain the festival had to be postponed.

The team are managed by Lincolnshire County Cricket coach, Martyn Miles.

William has also scored an unbeated 52 (retired) for his school and 25 (retired) for Woodhall Spa earlier this season.
