Friskney CC narrowly lost at Stamford Town - despite half centuries from Mitch Griffiths and Michael Troops.

Scores of 61 from Gary Peck and 49 from Philip Holland helped Stamford post 236-8 in this South Lincs and Border League Division One match.

Conor Harbron (two), Nick Snell (two), Rob Grant (two), George Danby and Troops took the Town wickets.

In response, Friskney fell 16 runs shy of their hosts, ending their 45 overs on 220-9.

Troops (63) and Griffiths (53) top scored, with other good scores coming from Grant (24), Jon Wilson (24) and Damien Lawson (18).
