Troops lead the charge in Boston CC success at Woodlands

Boston Cricket Club’s Second XI earned a five-wicket victory over Woodlands in the South Lincs and Border League Division One on Sunday.

Shaun Moore (three), Tim Bell (two), Ben Troops (two), Michael Troops and Sam Major dismissed their hosts for 68 in the 28th over.

In response, Boston made 69-5 by the 21st over, thanks to Gareth Epton (20), Tom Poole (15) and Rowan Evans (10 no).

Boston Thirds lost by 195 runs at home to Claypole in their SLBL Division Two contest.

On Sunday, Ben Troops (three), Michael Troops (two) and Jack Tether couldn’t prevent Claypole posting 268-6.

Boston were dismissed for 10 wickets within 22 overs, with Karl Pick’s unbeaten 16 the only double figure score.

Boston CC’s Sunday Firsts left Market Rasen with a one-wicket victory in their Lincoln and District Premier Division contest.

Tom Baxter hit an unbeaten 72 as Boston reached posted 156-9, in response to the hosts’ 155-5.
