Ward was eventually caught by Jack Berry from David Christmas.

Josh Newton’s 43 and 41 from Tom Baxter helped Boston record a total of 227-8 from their 48 overs.

With the ball, Baxter and Colin Cheer each claimed three victims.

Elliot Wilson and Scott Elleray both added dismissals as Bourne finished on 123-8.

Rain affected much of the Premier Division’s action, benefitting Boston, whose 17 points moved them above Market Deeping.
