Fans of pop icon David Bowie are in for a treat at Blackfriars Theatre on Friday night – with the visit of an award-winning tribute act.
Pop Up Bowie aims to relive the days of Ziggy Stardust and beyond and front man Paul Antony (pictured right) performs the greatest hits of David Bowie, from every era of the popular artist’s career.
Paul is a huge fan of Bowie and promises to accurately portray the charismatic performance of his hero.
Paul recently won a National Tribute Award and has appeared as his idol in film Rush.
The group recently had the pleasure of performing an acoustic gig for Maggi Ronson, sister of the legendary ‘Spider from Mars’ and Bowie sidekick Mick Ronson.
The man himself proved his enduring popularity by recently winning the best male category at this year’s Brit Awards - with the prize picked up on his behalf by Kate Moss.

○ On Saturday night, the theatre spices things up with a variety show, for over 18s only, direct from the West End Theatre.
An Evening of Burlesque promises Royal Academy-trained burlesque bombshells slipping into exotic characters themed around Arabian Nights, 40s WAF sirens and bubblegum blowing baseball babes.
They will be coming to Boston as part of a 100 date tour across the UK and boast being the ‘slickest, wickedly wittiest, most delightfully choreographed cabaret spectacular of the year’.
