BOSSES at East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre were delighted to welcome the Doctor Who crew to film its Christmas special.
Alexander Armstrong came to the centre last month to film part of The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrode - the annual festive outing for the TV timelord (see picture).
General manager Andrew Panton said: “It is a thrill to think we’ll be on TV on Christmas day and be part of everyone’s Christmas.
“They were quite reluctant to tell us in advance because if the public knew that Doctor Who was filming here there’d be a huge influx of people coming onto the site.
“For the staff at Doctor Who to find out about us is a big feather in our cap and so it is extremely good news that we will be appearing in it – it will be a welcome bit of publicity for us.”
