Folk Club in store for award-winner

Scottish singer-songwriter Dave Gibb is the guest at Boston Folk Club on Monday.

A new name to the Lincolnshire lowlands, Dave hails from the highest village in Scotland, Wanlockhead in Dumfries and Galloway!

A winner of the Open Stage award at Celtic Connections some years ago, Dave has since cemented his reputation as a fine entertainer and talented and prolific songwriter.

He has released nine albums since 1999, the latest ‘Motherload’ in 2015.

His live performances include songs that bring to life Dave’s Scottish heritage, be it anecdotal stories, tall tales or humorous offerings, as well as story-songs that draw on wider influences.

There are also covers of artists such as Mississippi John Hurt and Cyril Tawney that are enhanced by Dave’s warm earthy voice and superb fluent fingerstyle guitarwork.

Enjoy an absorbing and relaxing evening of music from Dave Gibb upstairs at The Eagle in West Street, Boston.

The music starts at 8.15pm and entrance is priced at £6.
