Anyone looking for something to do won’t run out of Steam with an event celebrating historic vehicles in the Boston area this weekend.
The Boston Steam and Vintage Festival will be taking place at Pimlico Farm, on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am-5pm, with a beer tent open on Friday and Saturday evenings with refreshments and live music.
The main event will feature a range of vintage work forms, including shire horses, Norwegian horses, mules, and vehicles such as ploughing engines.
The pièce de résistance will be a fly over by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire and Hurricane.
There will be classic cars, an oil engine, vintage motorbikes, tractors, lorries and other vehicles on display.
There will also be thrashing and a display of bygones.
As well as vehicles there will be entertainment from Punch and Judy.
People will also be able to try Have-A-Go-Dogagility and watch other arena events from classic cars, motorbikes and traction engines as well as a flying bird display.
There will also be a Lincolnshire Sausage Tossing Championship.
There will be catering on site of all types, from fish and chips, hot dogs and burgers to Thai food.
There will also be a models of different descriptions on display with two showmans engines.
The Steam and Vintage festival was cancelled last year due to the weather but organisers said this year’s event is fully booked with more than 40 trade stands.
Entry to the show costs £5, with £2 for children and under 5’s free with free parking.
