May will be filled with musical shows and celebrity guests at Blackfriars Theatre, which has an action-packed line-up for the month.
It kicks off when the stars of the 1960s Gerry and the Pacemakers will appear next on Friday, May 16, bringing the sounds of Merseyside to the Spain Lane venue.
Gerry is one of the few original 60s stars still performing and together with The Pacemakers will take audiences back the heady days of the Mersey Sound and have them on their feet singing and dancing.
On Saturday, May 17, muscle men will enter the ring when performers in the Professional Wrestling show will be bringing their American style of entertainment.
A tribute to Jersey Boys, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will take to the stage on May 23, when Sherry Baby visit Boston. The four-piece will be bringing the story of the New Jersey Boys from the wrong side of the tracks to the theatre.
Dancing queens will love the tribute on Saturday, May 24, when ‘the biggest and best’ ABBA tribute show comes to Blackfriars. The show promises to cover all the hits and some that weren’t.
Television psychic Derek Acorah will then be bridging the gap between this world and the next with his personality and ability to capture the imagination. His show takes place on Thursday, May 29.
Last but not least, the theatre will see the return of Dominic Kirwan after his sell out show last year. He will be once again bringing his own brand of Irish/Country songs.
