It’s just a week until the Gliderdrome’s first Christmas dance for several years – and tickets for the night are selling fast.
Compère for the evening and local DJ Steve Greenhough has put together a strong line-up of local acts with big reputations – and we could help you get there.
Lincoln’s Soul Solution head the bill, presenting a mix of Motown and music from the Sixties. The Little Big Band from Sleaford has been on the local music scene for the past 18 years, specialising in modern day rock anthems and are a very exciting rock band.
Last but not least is the band with probably the biggest following around Boston. Bullet Tooth play crowd pleasing numbers and are sure to get a good reception.
It’s also just been announced that there will be a dance for Valentine Day next year, featuring a soul/funk band from Nottingham, Fie Fi Fo Funk. Supporting them will be a band which featured at one of the Boston Party in the Park, Just4Kicks, a three-piece Nottingham pop/rock band. More news for that date will come shortly.
Thanks to Facebook alerts and the ‘I Went to The Gliderdrome’ page nearly all the tickets have been sold for the dance on Thursday night but the Gliderdrome has provided a pair of tickets as a prize in our competition.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply answer the following question: What was the name of room where acts took the stage at the Glider?
Put your answer and name and address on the back of a postcard and send it to: Glider Competition, Boston Standard, 5-6 Church Lane, Boston, PE21 6ND. Entries must be received by 9am on December 19. Usual Johnston Press rules apply.
