Plans are well under way for the first dance at Boston’s Gliderdrome in many years.
The popular venue, once known as the Pop Palace, will be holding the festive gig on the last Thursday before Christmas.
Soul Solution, an eight-piece soul band from Lincoln, will be supported by Little Big Band and Bullet Tooth.
This is just the first in a new line up of shows, with the Band From County Hell set to appear in a St Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 16.
The following Saturday Boston Youth and Jazz Orchestra take to the stage.
Organised by Lee Hextall, the orchestra is made up of youngsters from the area.
Lee said: “The Gliderdrome is still a classic place to play, and several of the youngsters know little about its history but they are eager to perform there. All the music played will be representative of the stars who appeared in the Sixties.”
Tickets for the Christmas show are £10 each from the Gliderdrome (bingo sessions), Chris Cook Printers, and Burgess Thompson & Richardson.
