Audiences and listeners are set for a musical treat this week with a religious tale taking place.
Starting today (Monday) BOS Musical Theatre group will be taking on the mantle of being one of the first adult amateur groups to perform Jesus Christ Superstar.
The story of Jesus’ last few days on earth is told from the perspective of Judas Iscariot, including the hit songs I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Superstar and Everything’s All Right.
Jesus Christ Superstar will cover ground that is familiar to anyone with knowledge of western religion and borowing from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the musical tells the story of the last seven days of Jesus Christ’s life.
The licence for the show has previously only been available for youth groups, however, it has been opened up for adult groups and BOS Musical Theatre snapped up the chance.
The show runs from Monday-Saturday.
