The Boston ‘bike rack lads’ have had their good deed formally recognised with a presentation of certificates by Boston Mayor Coun Paul Kenny.
The five, Dean Mason, Dan Butler, Martin Griggs, Simon McMillan and Jordan Doughty, were spotted on CCTV fixing the bent Market Place bike rack while on a night out in the town.
Their unusual deed attracted world-wide media attention and three million views on Youtube.
Thanking them, Coun Kenny said: “You brought the town some fun and you brought it some pride.”
Asked whether they had any other missions in mind, Dean said they were waiting for their superhero capes to be delivered first.
Following the presentation the lads went to Boston Delight kebab house next to the bike racks for free food and champagne courtesy of the owner Mohammad.
