An 11-year-old pupil at Boston’s AJ Dance has been nominated to attend a prestigious national awards event.
Brodie Stevenson is set to head to the International Dance Teachers Association Theatre Dance Awards in Manchester in February having earned an impressive distinction for grade five ballet.
Those with ‘exceptional performance’ are nominated by examiners to compete for a bursary to further their careers.
Brodie has attended AJ Dance since the age of four and has just one ballet lesson and one general class lesson per week.
Brodie said: “I love dancing, especially ballet - it is a big part of my life. I enjoy the challenge of learning new exercises and techniques. I couldn’t believe it when my examiner chose me to attend the IDTA awards. It will be an amazing experience.”
