Cinemagoes in Boston will be able to join an historic occasion celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who – with a screening of the anniversary story.

West End Cinema is set to host the 50th anniversary special of the BBC sci-fi legend, called The Day of the Doctor, on Saturday, November 23.

Not only that, but the live screening, aired at the same time as the television version, will be shown in full 3D.

In addition to Matt Smith the one-off special stars Jenna Coleman as well as former Time Lord David Tennant and ex assistant Billie Piper and John Hurt.

The eagerly anticipated episode is rumoured to reveal that the Doctor has a dark past, and it’s coming back to haunt him.

West End Cinema will be joining cinemas across the world in screening the show in Stephen Moffatt has described as an attempt to make it truly a ‘day of the doctor’.

The episode is planned to be broadcast at about 7.30pm on the Saturday, although this is to be confirmed by the cinema tomorrow (Thursday) and may be subject to change.

As soon as the time is announced the cinema will start selling tickets at £7.75 adult and £6.25 children, senior citizens and students.
