Major fashion chain to leave town High Street

A BOSTON fashion store has confirmed it is to close.

Men’s clothing retailer Burton, on Strait Bargate, will be shutting its doors for the last time on July 9.

A spokesman for Arcadia Group, which owns Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Topshop and Wallis, refused to comment on why the shop was closing and potential job loss figures.

This is another major chain to fall from Boston’s High Street over the last few years having lost Woolworths in January 2009.
