PICTURE GALLERY: Rain fails to damped spirits at classic car show in Kirton

Rain failed to put a dampener on those who turned up to look at some vintage vehicles in Kirton on Sunday.

The Boston Classic Car Club’s annual show took place at Graves Park albeit down by ‘about two thirds’ on cars and traders according to organisers.

Club president John Simpson said: “Basically everything went well on the day apart from the rain.

“We had to pack up early and prize giving was brought forward, but everybody had a good time.”

Prizes were given to some of the best cars from the 50s, to the 90s as well as prizes for the Best Motorcycles, young enthusiasts, car of the day and Boston Car Club car.

Guest cars included a unique ‘push me, pull you’ Morris Minor that has recently been restored by enthusiast Richard Wilson.
