Seasonal fun in Kirton on the way

CHRISTMAS CONCERT - There will be a Christmas concert in Kirton Church on Sunday, December 11, from 2.30-5pm, when guests will be entertained by Nick and Anita, of Country Contrast, a local duo from Lincoln.

They will be singing a variety of Christmas songs and carols and there will be a few stalls, including a cake stall, tombola, greetings cards and raffle.

Entrance is £6, payable on the day, at the door. There is no charge for children.

Refreshments will be available during the half hour interval from 3.30-4pm.

All are encouraged go along and enjoy some Christmas spirit.

l AUTUMN FAIR - The autumn fair at Kirton church on October 29 went very well. A total of £720 was raised.

Thanks go to all who donated raffle prizes – there were 50 in total. Thanks also to all who helped on the day and, of course, to the people who came through the door and offered their support and helped the day to be a success.

There is an unclaimed raffle prize waiting to be collected.

l KIRTON METHODIST CHURCH - The Sisterhood meeting was chaired by Janice Britchford, who also led the opening devotions. Members provided items for the rest of the afternoon.

The Autumn afternoon of activities for children attracted 17 participants, who were in no hurry to go home at the close.

Morning worship was led by Charles Pinchbeck, from the Sleaford circuit, and was a unite service with Anglican friends.

Junior Church children told all about the fun they had the previous day.

The next family film club will take place on Saturday, November 19, at 2pm.

The church anniversary and Gift Day is on Sunday, November 20, at 10.30am.

It will be followed by a bring-and-share lunch.
