A family fun day being held on Sunday to raise money for local children’s charities will celebrate the style of the 30s, 40s and 50s.

A small-but-dedicated group has come together to organise a Vintage Family Fun Day at Sharps Fied in Monument Road, Bicker this Sunday.

The event runs from 10am until 4pm, with an entrance fee of £2.50 for adults and £1 for children.

A spokesman said: “We would like to take people back to the good old days!

“The day will be a 1930s to 1950s vintage-style fun day, featuring live music by 1940s duo the ‘Cover Girls’, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fly over, dancing, old fashioned garden fete stalls, rides and games.”

The event will feature vintage cars and farm vehicles and vintage costume competition. It will also have afternoon tea and cake a beer tent and hog roast, ice cream and child’s rides.
