PANTOMIME season opens in Boston this week...oh no it doesn’t, oh yes it does!
Spalding-based production company Polka Dot brings the magical tale of Cinderella to the Blackfriars stage from Friday.
The fun-filled family show will run until January 2, with performances on every day except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Daniel Woodhouse is the show’s director.
He said: “This year we are looking to create a traditional family pantomime focusing on the wonderful fairytale story of Cinderella.”
Daniel has been involved in pantomimes since childhood, appearing in his first aged just nine. It is his third time as a panto director and it follows 11 years as a perfomer.
He says this year’s show will include ‘laughs, jokes, singing, dancing and everything you expect from a great pantomime’.
Polka Dot boasts a wealth of experience in producing professional pantomimes, complete with West End performers.
Among the treats for audiences will be an appearance from real Shetland ponies – a first for Boston.
It says it is committed to bringing the magic of Christmas to the live and bring high quality entertainment to all.
The production promises high energy dance routines, glittering costumes, spectacular scenery and plenty of audience participation for all ages.
There are two performances on Friday, Monday and Tuesday, at 10.15am and 1.15pm. There is also a show on Saturday at 2pm and on Sunday at 3pm.
Tickets: £10.50 (conc £9.50, family, school and group deals available).
