THE sound of British rock and roll legends the Shadows will be brought to life in Boston on Friday night.
The Shadowers will be performing at Blackfriars Theatre, on Spain Lane, from 7.30pm.
The group promise a polished, affectionate tribute to the legendary group, which backed iconic pop star Cliff Richard before going it alone.
The Shadowers are said to be so authentic that they have even received compliments from the original band members.
They also backed the late Shadow member Jet Harris before his death in March 2011.
The Boston show will include a special guest appearance from the original Shadows line-up’s Brian ‘Licorice’ Locking who sang on a number of Cliff Richard and The Shadows’ hits including Summer Holiday, The Next Time, Dance On and Guitar Tango.
The group said audiences will immediately warm to Brian’s friendly, affable personality and be spellbound by his harmonica playing.
The Shadowers show will include a variety of material including early hits such as Apache, FBI and Wonderful Land, as well as later ones such as Equinoxe Part V, Cavatina and Riders in the Sky.
The group guarantee the magic of the Shadow’s performances will be retained and it will include a world class reproduction of their live and recorded sounds.
Tickets cost £13.50 (£11 conc).
