One of the headline acts for Flood Aid 2014 will be Boston-born DJ Pete Martine, who will be on stage from 9.50pm for a 40 minute slot.
Pete hit the charts back in the 90s under the Sleaze Sisters guise and went on to remix artists such as Steps, Christina Aguilera and Ace of Bass,
In 2006 he had a hand in Leo Sayer’s chart topper Thunder In My Heart.
Peter suffered a bad accident shortly afterwards but he is now on the mend. He has just finished recordings for Samantha Fox, Sinitta and Hazel Dean.
He said: “I am looking forward to this party big time; more so that we can raise money for the people of Boston who have always made me so welcome.”
He has performed internationally along some of the biggest names and has had various stints on Radio One.
He said it will be a ‘blinding’ set with a new version of Let’s Whip It Up. Pete has agreed to donate his royalties for the new version to Flood Aid.
“I really do hope we can make a difference and it’s awesome that so many artistes, bands and DJs as well as the people behind the scenes have given there time for free,” he said.
