November’s guests at Boston Folk Club will be duo Doug Hudson and Ian Cutler.

Doug previously worked with duo Tundra before touring nationally and internationally as a stand-up comedian.

In the early 1990s he formed the folk rock band The Hot Rats as part of his comedy show.

Ian was also a member of that band, though he got his big break in the 70s when he appeared as the young fiddle player in The Wicker Man as a member of Hockett who provided music for the film soundtrack.

With Hockett, Ian went on to do live sessions on the John Peel show and at the Cambridge Festival.

As well as his duo activities, Ian plays with Feast of Fiddles and the now re-formed Bully Wee Band. He played on Dave Cousins (of Strawbs) album The Boy In The Sailor Suit.

Doug also plays in a ceilidh band and is the PA announcer of Gillingham Football Club. As a duo they released the Wizards Walk album in 2013. The duo will perform on Monday upstairs at The Eagle pub in Boston, music starts at 8.15pm.
