Doc/Fest 20 is set to descend

Sheffield Doc/Fest is 20 years old this year. The documentary festival descends on the Showroom Cinema from 12th - 16th June and is already shaping up to be the biggest yet.

This year’s 120 strong film programme tells the most compelling, entertaining and divisive stories of our times.

From nuclear insecurity, dope testing among athletes, late-term abortion and fracking to UFOs, Scottish rappers, a cow whisperer, how Google wants to become the world’s brain and Uri Geller - there will be a film to interest you.

Then there’s the enticing line-up of big name guests from the worlds of TV, film, radio and music who will appear at various live sessions and Q&As throughout the week.

Names like Ira Glass, Melyvn Bragg, Jay Hunt, Sue Perkins, Michael Palin, Adam Buxton and Sir Trevor McDonald, Doc/Fest 20 is unmissable.
