Colleagues at Laughing Dog, part of Fold Hill Foods, of Old Leake, have pledged to cover the equivalent distance between John O’Groats and Land’s End as a team in aid of the Guide Dogs. They are doing so by going for walks, runs, and bike rides in their free time and adding up the distance travelled.

At the time of writing, they had covered 550 miles.

Marketing team member Cassandra Brennan said: “Whether it’s running around the garden with our children, or going on a quiet walk or bike ride (we’ve been getting up very early to ensure we keep to social distancing measures), we’re keeping active to ensure we can switch off from work properly and stay active.”

She added: “Each week our Laughing Dog food team is checking in with a weekly mileage figure so we can keep a count of our steps – along the way, we are hoping to raise a few pennies for our charity partner the Guide Dogs.”
