Home care company delivers Christmas hampers to service users

Last year Careshaw Ltd, which is based in Church Road North, raised over £200 for the local food bank and for this Christmas close to raise awareness of another charity.

They chose Christmas jumper day to donate £100 to an Alzheimer’s charity.

In addition they held a Christmas raffle at the office, with all proceeds going to Dementia UK.

Prizes included an android tablet, a £50 high street voucher and a bottle of Champagne.

A spokesperson for the company said: "We are a company with a big heart who likes to give a little back.

"We would like to thank all the staff at Careshaw in raising awareness of the disease and for the funds they all raised.

"We would like to say a special thank you to BT Glazing for donating the £50 shopping voucher.

"The total proceeds raised was £370 pounds, to which Careshaw added £30 to make it £400."
