Untouched Global, of Hubbert’s Bridge, plans to hold the two-day event at Boston Rugby Club, in Great Fen Road, off the Boardsides, over the weekend of June 26 and 27.

Dubbed Twisted Wonderland, the festival is due to be headlined by hip-hop legends Grandmaster Melle Mel and the Furious Five and The Sugarhill Gang.

The event was announced in October of last year.

Speaking to The Standard this week, organisers acknowledged a postponement may be needed if the situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic does not improve, but were currently taking an optimistic point of view.

“We have to look forward and not look for problems and to scare people off from events,” a spokesman said, adding that a refund system is in place.

In light of how hard the hospitality sector has been hit by Covid-19, the business says it is only using local suppliers.

“The rugby club needs this as much as everyone else in the hospitality industry,” they added.

Also on the bill are a number of dance acts, including: Rozalla (Everybody’s Free), Kelly Llorenna (Set You Free), DJ Kuta (formerly of N-Trance ), plus cover acts such as Planet ABBA, Ohasis, and Little Chicks.

Tickets for the festival are available to buy from www.skiddle.com
