BBMF take part in RAF flypast for Colonel Thomas Moore
Hurricane LF363, flown by Squadron Leader Mark ‘Disco’ Discombe, Officer Commanding BBMF, and the Spitfire MK365, flown by Flight Lieutenant Andy Preece, completed three passes at Captain Tom Moore’s house in Bedfordshire.
The flypast also marked Captain Moore’s fundraising achievements for the NHS, and was organised by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at Royal Air Force Coningsby, Lincolnshire.

Captain Moore made the headlines after walking 100 laps of his garden (25km in length) before his 100th birthday, aiming to raise £1,000 for our NHS heroes. The Army veteran quickly surpassed this target and has now raised almost £30 million to support NHS charities.
Sqn Ldr Discombe said, “It was an exhilarating and humbling experience to celebrate Tom’s centenary and incredible fund-raising for the NHS in a fitting RAF fashion.”
