A 1940s-themed dance event set for Boston is gearing up to be a nostalgic celebration of 70 years since the end of the Second World War.
The VE Day 70th Anniversary dance is taking place at the Princess Royal Sports Arena (PRSA), in Great Fen Road, on Saturday, May 9.
The dance starts at 7.30pm, with a 20-piece swing band and DJ playing songs from the era. In the day-time, from 10am-5pm, there will be a host of 1940s activities, stalls and displays.
Money raised at the event will go to The Royal British Legion and Help For Heroes.
Tickets to the dance cost £25, including hog roast, and can be bought from Cammacks in Wide Bargate, Boston, or via the Facebook page ‘VE Day 70th Anniversary Celebrations’.
