Members of Mareham le Fen Bowls Club are hoping to secure funding for a new clubhouse.
The club moved to a new green last year after recieving backing from a number of organisations, including the National Lottery.
Now, committee member Noel Bush has confirmed they are applying for £76,000 of Lottery money to help fund a clubhouse.
He said: “The new green is proving to be a real asset and a clubhouse would be absolutely superb.
“We gained a lot of experience from our previous application and we’re hoping the Lottery will back us.”
Meanwhile, the club is also looking for public support to secure £1,000 from the Ringrose Law company’s ‘Grand Idea’ project.
It supports community-led initiatives across the county with the cash being awarded to the winning project, voted for by the public.
The bowls club is one of the leading contenders and anyone wanting to back them can contact ringroselaw.co.uk/grandidea/votenow.
Meanwhile, more than 50 bowlers from all over Lincolnshire visited the club to take part in the annual Stan Hargreaves Trophy.
The event serves as a memorial to a long standing supporter of bowls in the county.
Refreshments were provided and a raffle was held with proceeds going to charities in the area.
