A plan to erect nine homes on land in Leasingham have been amended and resubmitted to North Kesteven District Council to reconsider.

A bid to build seven detached custom-build homes and two semi-detached affordable homes off Spring Lane in Leasingham by landowner Peter French was refused by North Kesteven’s planning sub committee last October.

It was partly turned down due to lack of proof that the scheme would not adversely impact on biodiversity - great crested newts in particular. There were concerns about the narrow lane and Leasingham Beck adding to flooding downstream.

Residents had been concerned about the loss of what was seen as the one remaining undeveloped area for wildlife within the village.

The scheme includes access and garaging. Comments on the proposal are being sought.
