Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are once again expected to visit Boston as part of this year’s 20th annual Boston Bike Night.
The event, which is on Thursday, July 7, takes place in the Market Place, Bargate End, Straight Bargate and Pescod Square.
Organised by a small committee from the Boston Motorcycle Riders (BMR), the Bike Night will see riders of motorcycles, scooters, trikes and sidecars from all over the country descend upon Boston’s Bargate End and the Market Place, filling the car parks and surrounding areas with a spectacular array of machinery, including all types of makes and models – from sports bikes and tourers to the classic varieties.
A BMR spokesman said: “Not only is the event a mecca for riders and fans of motorcycles, it is also a great family night out.
“Last year, it was estimated that over 2,000 people visited the bike night, and this year there will once again be road closures in Pen Street, Wide Bargate, Bank Street, Red Lion Street and the Market Place so the area is purely for bike night traffic.”
The event will also feature live music, food stalls, about 40 trade stands, clubs and charity stalls.
