Heckington Windmill is hosting its annual threshing weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

The site is currently undergoing an exciting restoration with work starting in earnest in October but with work on the bake house now complete and the on-site brewery re-roofed this is probably the only threshing demonstration where you can eat or drink the end product.

The café in the mill cottage will be open but will undergo a transformation over the winter.

The event runs from 11am until 4pm on both days with the brewery hosting a beer festival which will be on the go from 12noon until 10pm on Friday and Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday.

There is a lot more to see including stands, stalls, machinery displays and live music as well as the opportunity to explore the mill and climb the tower.
