MORE than 300 cases for non-payment of council tax have been put before magistrates this week.
A total of 318 cases were due to be heard at Boston Court on Monday, after summons were issued to 389 people who did not pay the necessary bills.
The others made arrangements with Boston Borough Council to pay the money back.
The total value of the cases heard on Monday - including costs - was £160,186.51.
Magistrates have now issued liability orders in an attempt to claim back the money owed to the local authority.
