A PRE-school group has been celebrating 10 years of music making in and around Boston.

Teddies’ Tunes launched in January 2001, and all last week held Christmas parties to mark the imminent 10-year anniversary.

The group began with a couple of sessions on a Wednesday afternoon at St Thomas’ Church Hall. Today, it has about 100 children on its books and is able to run sessions on every day of the week, in Kirton, Freiston and Boston.

Rosemary Brown, who plans and runs each session, said she was delighted to have reached the 10-year milestone.

“It’s great,” she said. “I can’t believe how it’s flown.”

To mark the anniversary, children made party hats, performed songs to parents and friends and were treated to a visit from Santa.

Rosemary had worked for Barclays Bank for 25 years ahead of starting the group, which is open for children aged from birth to four years.

“It’s more enjoyable, much more enjoyable,” she said on how the new job compares to the old, though adding: “It’s probably harder work!”
