The 24-year-old woman struck by a vehicle on the A16 in Boston on Friday remains in hospital and may require surgery.
It has now been confirmed that the woman, thought to be living in the town, suffered a number of fractures as the result of a collision near the Black Sluice Cafe crossing at about 1.40pm on Friday.
Her condition is described as stable.
The car involved was an Audi A8 driven by a 23-year-old woman from Kirton who was uninjured.
Police are not thought to be seeking to make an arrest.
A force spokesman said: “The road was reopened at 4.45pm but it was some time before traffic was flowing normally in Boston and the public are thanked for their patience throughout the disruption.”
