ARTHUR Richard Gomm, of Willoughby Grange Care Home, has died at home following a short illness.
He was 89.
Born in Boston, he lived in the area for his entire life.
A married man, he leaves behind wife Brenda and daughters Lesley, Vivien and Angie.
During his working life he was a member of the Armed Forces and spent time in the Royal Air Force and the Army. He was also a caretaker for the civil service for 36 years. He was awarded the Queen’s Imperial Service Medal.
Away from work, dancing was a great passion for Mr Gomm, who took many dancing holidays. He also enjoyed gardening and taking his grandchildren on holiday.
His funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Simon Dowson.
Chief family mourners were: Brenda Gomm (wife), Lesley Vickers, Vivien Stoker and Angie Price (daughters), and grandchildren and extended family.
