A Lincolnshire housebuilder has been helping spread Easter cheer among families in need in Boston and Lincoln.

Chestnut Homes – the company behind the Quadrant development in Boston – gave 100 Easter eggs to Boston and Lincoln foodbanks to be added to their emergency food parcels.

Jayne Maddy, the National Lottery Heritage Fund administrator at Boston Foodbank, said: “It has been wonderful to receive this donation and it really helps us to provide something extra for our clients this Easter that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do.

“Our clients will receive an Easter egg as an additional extra within their food parcel and I am sure many of the clients and their children will appreciate this as a very nice surprise.”

The Boston foodbank is based at Blenkin Memorial Hall, in Wormgate, while the Lincoln foodbank has four distribution centres across the city.

Helene Key, sales manager at Chestnut Homes, said: “At Chestnut Homes we have a firm belief in supporting the areas we build in and strengthening our relationship with local communities. Both Boston and Lincoln Foodbanks play a vital role in helping the most vulnerable people in Lincolnshire and we hope to be able to continue supporting the work that they do.”
