A NARRATIVE verdict has been returned in an inquest into the death of a Boston man who died on the building site where he was working.
Justin Gillman, 26, of Holland Fen, died last February after he fell from scaffolding on a Chestnut Homes site in Skegness.
During the inquest at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and Thursday the jury explored a series of questions in their narrative verdict, which is a short statement detailing the circumstances surrounding a person’s death.
After the inquest, Mr Gillman’s family issued a statement, which said: “Words cannot express how much Justin was loved by not only his family and girlfriend but also by many of his friends and work colleagues.
“Not a day goes past when Justin isn’t thought about with fond memories. He will be missed every day and our lives will never be the same without him, Justin loved his work and working for Chestnut Homes was his dream job which makes it even more tragic.”
Mr Gillman’s death is currently under investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). A spokesman for the HSE said that the case was still ongoing.
